my definition of home has changed throughout the years, and I continue to apply the term to many places I reside, but also to the places that I go to get away from everyday life. Tonight I am going to stay at my mom's house to watch my brother, and will likely stay for a couple days. To me, though I have never lived in that house, I consider myself to be 'going home' nonetheless. Where I am living now, in a city, in the suburbs, with no car and no means of escape... I often feel trapped, and yet I live here, it is technically my home.

but my true home awaits my return; the rolling hills of the country, fresh air, blue skies for miles.

and that, I think, is more home to me than any other place. home is not just a house; its the place your mind wanders to when you're lonely, and the place your heart never left behind.
